eBay is likely also considering precedent, since they are asserting
rights to control their service as well. The biggest issue for them so
far has been forbidding bots to gather auction info. But they also are
asserting a right very similar to Sony's. eBay has said it will ban
users who go offline to complete transactions with people contacted
through eBay.
