Yeah, matt, you're not the only one who found the article odd. I
just don't see their game being the huge success they forecast. 1)
it's not on a console so it will never be huge ;) 2) the concept is
just not something I can see the wider public being that interested
in. While Myst drove CD drive sales, I actually am more inclined to
think it drove CD drive USAGE. When i was working part-time selling
games during my time at Uni Myst was selling to people who had
bought a new computer and didn't know what to do with it. CD games
were an easy sell since they were straight forward to install. And
Myst looked pretty and really appealed to the kinda folks who like
crosswords. There's piles of them too.
