  "Unnoticed amidst the hype and hoopla of the Electronic
  Entertainment Expo (E3) was a new survey claiming that interactive
  entertainment is now the most popular entertainment activity in
  the United States, surpassing even movies and television.
  According to the survey, produced by IDC research, 34 percent of
  Americans say playing computer and video games is the most fun
  entertainment activity, compared with 16 percent who say watching
  TV, 13 percent who say surfing the Internet, and 12 percent who
  say going to the movies is the most fun.  Moreover, 57 percent of
  those who play games most frequently report that games are more
  fun than any other entertainment activity, with TV coming in a
  distant second at 13 percent."
