Well these seem to be low-tech twerps. It seems more like they are
using telnet proxy servers. I'm not sure how to just ban proxies,
and getting lists of hundreds or thousands of anonymous telnet proxy
servers to ban seems rather, um stupid.

I'm going to institute a newbie silence: all newbies, except for
ones created using an ip/subdomain from a known okay site will only
be able to use the newbie channel for 2 hours of play time.

I'm also thinking of writing some anti-spamming code, but alas, the
only ways i've come up with doing it are rather primitive.

It also seems many of them have temporarily moved to a new MUD that
is made by a former player of mine who is basically just copying
features from my game and putting it into his. It is rather funny
because he has no unique ideas, only features on my MUD and features
that my players have suggested to me. What is not funny is that I
helped him get started and he flames me and cusses at me and calls
me a newbie coder on mailing lists before asking what the difference
between sprintf, str_dup, and various memory macros are.

BTW they flock to his mud because he hasn't banned all of those
grief players and all of the grief players are old friends from
various MUDs.
