Being an avid Gemstone player for many years I've always found lockers
to be extremely helpful when in comes to saving space on your
character. As in many games, in Gemstone when you have tons of items
you've collected over the years on your character, the actions in the
game take much longer then when you have nothing on you. Lockers in
game are a great way to store extra items that you will selling in the
future but don't want to carry on your person for weight reasons.

>From what I understand of it (I've never had one of my characters
actually get married, just heard and read about it) you pay a certain
amount of money for a wedding between your characters. With that
money you get rings, a certain amount of wedding clothes/items with
descriptions that you specify, and these items/clothes you can have
certain things scripted on them (such that when you rub the item a
certain message is sent to all the character in the room, etc). Also,
I believe that there are certain verbs that you are able to use with
your husband/wife which show as different then they would normally
because you are married. The wedding cerimony itself is a rather big
event with portals that are created to send you there if you received
an invitation, along with food and everything else nice. There is
also the choice of the actual scenery you want to go along with the
wedding.

The only upgrade persay to the room is a house, which you can rent for
a certain amount each month. I'm not exactly sure on the detail of
this, but I'm sure someone else knows.
