And Goth _damn_ does it rock.

I was starting to find things a little tedious as a low-level n00b
running around killing frogs (dammit, when do I get to kick serious
ass? 8), but then I partied with someone.

Now, this is on the RP server. I can't thank Mythic enough for the
RP server. I would still be playing Asheron's Call if every request
to party I'd ever had, except like 1, hadn't started with "yo do u
wnat to give beets w me?".

So I partied with someone, and the game is designed so you can still
type-chat while partying (although, dammit I want voice chat!).
Note that thanks to discussion here I new to change the settings on
my group panel. 8)

So we're talking, and while some of it is discussions about game
mechanics (it's brand new to both of us), most of it was in
character. For a graphical mud of this visual quality, that is
_very_ unusual, and graphical quality seems to be important to me at
this stage of my life (never mind the fact that I'm writing a
text-based mud server).

It was great fun.
