Not an idea I particularly like. It's too hard a game for someone to
just roll up a high level character and expect to survive. The
multiplayer nature also means that one idiot can ruin 5 others
evening, so it would probably complapse in a death spiral of
ineptitude.

I certainly empathise with your lack of desire to hop on a leveling
treadmill once again, but a Monty Haul environment isn't a good
solution.

A more promising direction are skill based games where one can
specialise and be useful with less investment of time. If you have
the time, you just get to round yourself out a lot more. I think
people have had their fill of the typical xp grind system, people
who innovate new mechanics are likely the ones who will see my
custom.
