I didn't mean to imply it wasn't significant. If I thought it was
unimportant, I wouldn't have posted the announcement to this list :)
I was commenting on the game content, in terms of interesting
features, or pushing the state of the art in a way visible to
players. It may be impressive in a sense for the industry, but as a
player, I see nothing new here...

Incidentally, I used to be one of those players who'd buy anything
with "Ultima" on it. But I wouldn't go near Ultima Online (or Ultima
9, for that matter) once I heard what it was actually like. And in a
similar vein, I know a lot of Squaresoft devotees won't play Final
Fantasy 9/8/7 because it's not as good as 8/7/6/whatever. I think
that the biggest fans are often the ones who will be the first to
shout about how the game doesn't live up to expectations, or the
quality level of previous releases from the developer. If they can't
pull it off, it may do them more harm than good.
