It's important not to confuse general patterns with specifics,
though.  After a bad day at the office, plenty of women might well
want to spend some time where they didn't have to talk to anyone and
can just go blow things up for a while.  This depends a *lot* on
individual temperament.

It's a little like sports.  Sure, the average woman is less strong
and less competitive than the average man, and this difference is
large enough to be significant.  This, however, says nothing about
particular women (or particular men, for that matter).  There are
plenty of strong, competitive women.  Some of them are even computer
gamers.

On the other hand, the use of email and the web for socializing,
finding friends with common interests, etc. is very popular among
women.  Not to mention IRC... The most seriously addicted IRCers 5
know are all women, who spent plenty of time talking to people
they've never met in person (and in some cases, have no intention of
ever meeting in person).
