Skotos and Worlds Apart Productions have released for public beta
our newest game, "Monsters! Monsters!: Grendel's Revenge".

This is Skotos' fifth game available for its members, and WAPs
second game developed for Skotos.

    "Long ago the world was at peace. Trolls, dragons, vampires, and
    the rest of Grendel's children warred against each other, and
    all was well. But then, the uglies came. The humans. A new age
    is dawning and a new war has begun. As a monster of Uthgol --
    chimera, humanoid, or undead -- you must become one of the
    instruments of Grendel's Revenge. Loot!  Spoil! Slay! Hoard!

For the Mud-Dev crowd, the developments in Grendel's Revenge that
would be of the most interest:

   - A major player lair-building system, allowing clans to dig
   their homes deep into the earth, trap them against invaders, hord
   resources, etc.

   - A very extensive web enhanced chat client, using DHTML for
   overhead maps, character status, etc.

   - 5 different roles - leaders, builders, shaman, warriors, and
   magicians.

   - NPC "Grunts" to do labor on the behalf of leaders and builders,
   and to be cannon fodder troops for warriors.
