If people login to games to get away from the real world, is it then
inappropriate to have a gravity concept in those games? My point is
that it may be a bit simplistic to say that people login to games to
get away from the real world. Rather, they often login to games to
get away from certain parts of the real world, but what parts they
want to get away from and what parts they want to take with them
varies from person to person. I personally like to escape to worlds
that borrow both gravity as well as memorials or other sorts of
entertaining tragedy from the real world. From you comments in this
thread so far, I imagine you may be different to me in this regard.
We both login to games to get away from the real world, but that
statement really has little to say about whether or not memorials
should be in the game.
