You realize you just agreed with me, right? :p
The job part of the game, which is the "advancement/achivement"
portion, is almost totally ignored when people who play The Sims
talk about it.
They talk about the stuff they build and the things/stories that
happen. Since money eventually flows like a river, the cost of
building/buying things can only dubiously and temporarily be called
"achievement/advancement" when you compare The Sims to a moderm MMO,
for example.
