I don't entierly agree.

The system LOOKS very flexible  on the surface, but get into it and
you'll find that balance is a real issue.  While many combinations are
*possible* many are also frustratingly ineffective.

It always amazes me how little respect CRPG/MMO developers usually
show for the RPG system.  They think they can just whip one out and it
will be "good enough".  As a long time Pen and paper player I'm very
aware that a good, truly balanced  RPG system is an entire development
effort in of itself.
