I too would like something like Croquet interfaced with MetaPlace.
Something else I would like to see implemented was an idea I had years
ago: Being able to define "starter" galaxies/realities (ala
SimReality) with definable physics that can be played separately or as
a metaverse. It would certainly take a *lot* of work; however, it
opens up a lot of possibilities.
