i been doing some experimenting with opensim (secondlife emulator).? i have found ways to shapes, skins, terrains, and clothes for my character models.? once i get done with a few more things, i plan to build hypergrid.

hypergrid is for sl/opensim.? i believe that realXtend does it too.

the problem is that there is too many MMO out there.? you have to have a client for each one and the play style may be different.

i use sl client and hippo client. they are essential the same as far as sl is concern.? i have use realXtend client and that has a nice feature: adding in objects. unforunately i have done too much with realXtend. i find it too complex for me right now.

I have experiment with EQemu and Mangos (WoW emulator that it not WoW-like (huh?)). i see that EQemu has tried a different client but Mangos has not one word on making things outside of WoW.? but WoW machinima should that WoW models can be pulled out and have them do other things.

suppose you start in opensim then go hypergrid to some action game and then back.? or have your opensim open and then through the use of -multiple have a second instance and hypergrid to the game. in my case, i could have two computer screen, one with the actually game and in the other opensim where i am choking a guy cause he ran away.

you cant have 20 clients and you cant have one client that does it all. but you could have a client that does basic things (more that SL does right now).

blue mars (another MMO) is in beta phase and they have 3D objects and use collada to import them. otherwise, they are similar to SL. they dont use the same protocols that are in SL/opensim so that there would be some twist to be done.?unforunately the BM client is the only one that works for it.

with the web, it sort of grew naturally. but with games and vworlds, each other if starting over again. vrml (remember vrml?) tried and fail.? but if each of the games and virtual worlds start with a protocol, it could be different.

here is the hypergrid
http://opensimulator.org/wiki/Hypergrid

a client: like sl/opensim client
+ model and objects from other 3rd parties tools
+ textures and skins
+ ?

and hypergrid or hypergrid-like
