[DGD]Newbie Question

Nah, hasn't changed as long as I can remember (but maybe my memory is
failing me here).

Edit dgd/src/Makefile and change the 'HOST' setting (NETBSD by
default) to be LINUX instead.  This is also described in
dgd/doc/Platforms in the DGD package itself, by the way.

The only makefile you need to 'make' is in dgd/src/.
