[DGD] snoop question from a non Unix person

Although I do quite a bit of coding etc I am not a UNIX expert....

I have been trying to port across Heaven7 to DGD and have it loading up
to a point where it is looking for the efun 'snoop'.

Sun quotes it as a C Library Function, which, sure enough looks like I
am missing!
1) how do I load it / get it from?
2) can I put it in with the simul_efun's for the Lib?
