What kind of terminal program are you using to connect to the MUD?

I may have this backwards, BUT...

In the Windows world, a carriage return is accompanied with a linefeed, but 
in the *Nix world the carriage return and the linefeed are handled seperately.

My thoughts are that you need to accompany the carriage return with a linefeed.
