[DGD] hardware issues

CD/DVD-RW works quite well for backups. Since this type of server should fit 
entirely on a single disc in most cases, you can create a rotation schedule 
that has daily incrimental backups, and weekly full backups where you 
maintain about 4 weeks worth of discs, when you get back to the first disc, 
add a new disc to the sequence and put the oldest disc away as a monthly 
archival instead of using it.

this insures a monthly archive, weekly full backup, and daily increimentals 
will always be readily available
