Hehehe, for amusement, take note of the Smaug-derived codebase,
AFKMUD.  There's a reason the original mud that the distribution was
named after was called that. :)

There was also a mud called ZenMUD, which was very popular amongst
system administrators, or other people who had to be at work doing
stuff, but could often devote a moment or two to playing games every
so often.  Your score was based on how long you were idle, but the
catch was that the game would randomly ask you trivia questions.  If
you failed to answer, you were disconnected and had to start over.
You could answer incorrectly and just not get a bonus.
