Writing as list owner:
I've tracked this problem down to being caused by two of our more
active posters. One of them (well, their software actually) randomly
inserts TAB characters into subject lines, and the other extra spaces.
Yes, the list software should/could strip them back to normalcy.
If current progress and plans hold (no sign yet of their not), I'll
be switching over to a new list software as of April 1st (probably
petidomo). As such I don't want to change what is otherwise a working
system when I'm going to dump the thing shortly anyway.
