If I were convinced that the list was proving detrimental to my goals
and purposes for the MUD field, it would be shut down within a
heatbeat.  I'm not convinced.  I am occassionally concerned, but that
is due more to specific projects and individuals than any mass
effect.  (If you're concerned whether I'm referring to you, don't be.
If I were I'd have already emailed you directly on this).

Idle observations:

Since the list went public this weekend we've gained ~20 new members,
a growth of just over 20%.  None have attepted to post, or have
requested posting authority (not surprised).  The list archives are
being hit fairly lightly (surprise) for a total of 183 unique inbound
IP addresses (roughly %20 look close enough in IP values to be users
from the same ISP/site (members of the same subnet)), with 92 total
addresses within the last two days.
