Player-admin interaction, yep. Generally if I'm online in god-mode, I'm
afk about 80% of the time doing programming type stuff. People talking to
me are bothering me in that case, so I sit where no one can see me.
Occassionally some other admin type person pops by and bothers me. If
someone needs help and there are no other admins on (very, very rare) or no
other admin can help them (somewhat less rare), then I'll try to fix them
without revealing myself. Mostly because if I do reveal myself, then a
bunch of other players start talking to me, which just makes it take longer
to do whatever it is I was trying to do, and longer to get back to what I
was working on before that. Plus I think it just sort of breaks fiction
for anyone that does see me, IC as they are, and me being an OOC entity and
all.

Not to say that I *never* do it, but its real rare.

When I play (i.e. as a player), if they know I'm me, then I can't play,
because they either send me a lot of private messages, or they just act
extremely weird. Either artifically distant so as not to appear to be
sucking-up, or they are sucking-up (and this is what's giving me the most
angst about actually meeting these weirdos face-to-face), or at least I
feel that they are whether they actually are or not.

When they don't know its me, I can play, and be treated like any other player.

Plus its just funny to get lectures from oldbies on how to play because
they think I'm a newbie. Even if all the above weren't true, I'd probably
still conceal my identity just for the fun of it.
