It's been anecdotal accepted wisdom in all forms of online communities (not
just muds but also website communities, chat rooms, etc etc) that a
disproportionate amount of your community leaders will be female. On
LegendMUD, for example, which is (despite its setting) a predominantly GoP
mud, the imp, half the "exec committee", and a quickie survey of the past
and present immort staff reveal almost 40% are female.
