I have a degree from RPI, where he teaches, in math and
philosophy... I took a lot of classes from Selmer. I like him a lot,
but I do think he's a bit of a nutter, especially when he sets out
to prove something.  I'm still on and off in touch with him, and
this is as good an excuse as any to contact him again. If I manage
to discuss this paper with him, I'll report back if he has anything
interesting to say. Suffice to say that I, personally, feel that
Baldur's Gate II, for instance, has a damn compelling dramatic
storyline, and as such I suspect he has a definition for
"dramatically compelling" that he hasn't stated...
