There is actually a small feature on a company doing this in this
months 'Edge' magazine. They are basically using the iPaqs as dumb
clients for a wireless LAN. Their system has a rack of PCs running
slightly modified normal PC games and the screen contents are just
broadcast out to the iPaqs.  They had a demo of it working with Lego
racers and one other game.

Sadly, I'm not sure if Edge is easily available in the US - its one
of my favourite games magazines.
