Hurm, certainly most players I know would MUCH rather see the "good"
versions Jeff posted. I think that by and large they'd regard it as mostly a
matter of craftsmanship, though.
Unless the reset of the state somehow implied something larger, some sort of
world state change. then they'd feel a qualitative difference too, I
suspect.
Are you really arguing that paper-thin story devices don't have an impact,
Matt? I thought you were the one saying that the backstory was important
over in that other thread. ;)
