Let me just say first that I agree with much of what you said in that
article.

Even it if isn't absurd, it will mean that the title/position has very
little meaning to the officeholder. Remember though that risk doesn't
have to just be simulated physical risk. There's the risk of losing
respect, etc, that is just as important in a leadership position.

Yes, it was a pretty ridiculous statement by whomever made it.

Yep, definitely. If you care enough to get pissed off about being
killed, you're probably coming back. It's only when you get that dull
"What, again?" feeling that you're probably not coming back.
