A query to the programmers in the next room says "1 meter.  Or maybe
it was 2".  Then they regressed to talking about triangle strips and
optimizations we should have tried.

I think it was 1 m between heightsticks.  If this sounds like it
requires a ridiculous amount of data to describe a 20 square mile
area, well, do the math and you'll discover you're pretty much
absolutely right.
