It is a problem only when the one drives out the other. I.e. when
the player with lots of time can limit the playability of the game
for a player with only a few hours time each week. Another reason
why it might be a problem is when the game requires to spend a lot
of time. Outside games there are many ways in which somebody can
excell. Within a game there usually are only a few and when they
all require the investment of vast amounts of time then it makes it
more difficult for less commited players to participate.
