A charge for maintenance of items is also worth considering. That
is, players contribute somewhat toward the cost of maintaining an
item, either in real or in virtual money. Virtual money should
amount to a significant quantity, and be repaid by others using the
same model, i.e. any model that isn't used by others will soon be
driven out of existence as players find it too great a burden to
support them.
