[MUD-Dev] Objects

Any good sources of information on the design of object hierarchies
or other methods of creating objects?  Basically, what is the best
way of setting up a mud to allow for most any object to be created
with minimal re-coding of underlying code?  I'm planning on
implementing this in LPC, so some code will be possible, but I don't
want them to have to re-write object management in order to create a
container or something like that.
