This assumes that talking is not part of playing. Someone remarked
to me the other day that the reason he didn't mind all the talking
that gets done in Achaea is because of its high level of
immersiveness. In that case, talking IS part of the game. It's
required for the political dimension of the game, which is quite
important. Further, people will spend inordinate amounts of time
discussing the latest plots, planning this or that ritual, and so
on.

There seems to be this unwarranted assumption that muds should
consist of nothing more than action.
