If you want there to be - it's something that would need to be
specifically catered for, however...

As above, absolutely - because of the "multiplayer" aspect, people seem
to have neglected the usefulness of soloers. As Sean points out, you
don't have to be grouped or even communicating to be socially
interacting. Again, games need better ways of understanding and reacting
to behaviour that isn't smacking something with a sword.
