I couldn't agree more. I know the devs think they are adding excitement,
but this is a pretty cheap way to do so.

They did even more of this in the example. The first expansion zone has
a Fel Reaver (tough lvl 70 mob) that patrols around. My wife plays with
her sound off and got crushed by it many times.

In EQ2, I remember getting rocked by a super powerful naked mole rat in
a cave zone that was 5-10 times harder than everything else in there.
Man... that was no fun.
