I would disagree (though I'm admittedly biased) - I have quite a few
characters that I will not play solo, because they do become exceedingly
repetative. I primarily prefer to play in a team, not because of any
socialisation, but because the greater number of enemies and allies adds
a much greater degree of variety to the combat.

Of course the combat is repetative - but so is the combat in pretty much
any other MMO out there (including most MUDs I've played). CoX's is the
most varied and dynamic so far.

All the other "activities" present in other MMO's so far (crafting,
etc.) are even more mind-numbingly dull than the combat - they only seem
a good idea because they're different, not because they have any
inherent entertainment value.

I respect the choice of Cryptic to focus on quality game systems, rather
than quantity. It's far from perfect, but it's still the best I've seen
so far (though Vanguard has some good ideas), and is different /enough/
between powersets and archetypes to still be enjoyable.
