The problem with Lara Croft, compared to a MMOG, is that there's no
one out there to see you. People feel even more self-conscious in
company.  In a MMORPG, your avatar is, well, you. More or less. But
in Lara Croft?  You don't have an avatar. You have the same Lara
Croft that everyone has. It's just a puppet.

As an aside, the newest Lara Croft allows you to play a male
character now :)
