However, if you chase me around and say things about my family for
hours on end, most games offer an ignore function I can use. In
other words, the game provides me with sufficient tools to end your
griefing permanently. In PvP, I can't say, "Ignore all damage taken
from this player, because they are a griefer."
There's a parallel that can be drawn to how people handle emotional
or verbal attacks in the real world, too, but it's not one I feel
capable of expressing well.
