Desktop boom mics work great. Been using the same one for 5 years.

Agree though I still am infatuated with the Tribes Vengence
implementation of verbal/text emotes. A littl emore customization
options and you'd have a superb communications tool, in game, easily
translatable and great for in character role play.
I would imagine that a well done implementation might actually bring
some RP to our favorite MMORPGs.
